Updated: May 8, 2024

GORDON BRIAN CAMPSIE RSL GROUP, PETER WINCHESTER CHAIRMAN CANTERBURY LEAGUE

Thank you to Canterbury Leagues Club and Campsie RSL for their generous donations to help transform areas of the Gumnut Ward at Canterbury Hospital.

The donation supports a refit of a storage room and transformation of a bathroom into a clinic consult room for children returning to the hospital for review after their discharge.

“These renovations will go a long way to help our clinicians provide the best outcomes for our youngest patients. I am grateful to our community in the Canterbury-Bankstown area for all their support,” said Michael Morris, Canterbury Hospital General Manager.

The Gumnut Ward is a paediatric specialty ward at Canterbury for children under 16 having surgery or receiving medical care.

“This is a much-needed addition to our Gumnut Ward,” said Michael.

Plaques were placed in the rooms to commemorate the donations.
